Disney Christmas runs at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea from November 11 through December 25, 2026. If you have just one day and Christmas entertainment is your main reason for visiting, Tokyo Disneyland is our recommendation. Its seasonal parade and Christmas version of the nighttime Electrical Parade give you more holiday entertainment to build the day around.
Choose DisneySea if it is already the park you most want to explore, with a shorter Christmas harbor greeting, festive music, and illuminated decorations adding to the visit. The best choice depends on what you want to spend your day doing—not simply whether you are traveling with children or as adults.
Information checked October 27, 2026. Schedules, prices, and availability may change. Booking times are Japan Standard Time (JST).
Disneyland or DisneySea: What Is Different This Christmas?
| Your priority | Tokyo Disneyland | Tokyo DisneySea |
|---|---|---|
| Main Christmas performance | Toys Wondrous Christmas!: approximately 45 minutes, scheduled once daily | Disney Christmas Greeting: approximately 15 minutes, scheduled twice daily |
| Seasonal setting | World Bazaar Christmas tree and toy-themed entrance decorations | Jubilee Blue trees celebrating the park’s 25th anniversary |
| Best fit for this trip | A day organized around Christmas parades | A DisneySea visit with a shorter seasonal show and time for the park itself |
At Disneyland, Toys Wondrous Christmas! brings Santa’s toys and Disney characters onto the parade route. The floats are scheduled to stop in designated sections, so the viewing map matters if seeing a particular part of the performance is important to you.
The Disneyland Christmas program also includes a seasonal version of Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights. For a parade-focused day, leave space between daytime entertainment, a meal, and the evening performance instead of filling every gap with another ride.
At DisneySea, Disney Christmas Greeting takes place on Mediterranean Harbor. Mickey and friends, including Duffy, appear with Santa on a decorated barge. Think of it as a brief festive highlight within your day rather than a counterpart to Disneyland’s longer parade.
DisneySea’s Japanese event page also announces carolers and small musical groups, alongside the blue Christmas decorations in American Waterfront. That makes it appealing for visitors who enjoy seasonal atmosphere between other activities. It does not mean the park will be quieter or less crowded.
Choose the Date Before Buying the Ticket
For the main Christmas entertainment, visit within November 11–December 25. Seasonal menus begin November 1 and merchandise November 10, but these earlier releases do not mean the Christmas shows have started. Individual seasonal attractions can follow different dates too.
Before committing, compare your possible dates in the official operating calendar. Check opening and closing times for the park you want, then the show schedule and any attraction closures that affect your priorities. Do not assume every date offers the same length of day.
There is little reason to wait specifically for Christmas Day if another date fits your trip better: the announced event runs throughout the period. Choose a date that allows a full visit and a manageable journey back to the hotel.
Buy Admission Through the English Ticket Site
The official English ticket page lets you choose a park and date. A standard 1-Day Passport covers one selected park, not both. Adult prices currently start at ¥8,900, but pricing varies by date; check the amount for your actual Christmas visit before comparing options.
The published sales rule is 2 p.m. two months before the same admission date. As of October 27, the entire Christmas event period has passed its scheduled ticket-release date. That means you can check the dates now, not that every date still has tickets.
Use the online purchase guide to proceed through the official website or app. Park ticket booths are currently closed, so do not arrive expecting to buy there. Cancellation and refund requests for personal reasons are not accepted; settle your park and date before paying.
For a first visit, our recommendation is one park for the day. Trying to fit both into one day leaves less room for show waits, meals, and the evening atmosphere. If seeing both is central to your trip, allocating a day to each is the simpler plan.
Parade Viewing: What Requires an Extra Payment?
You do not have to buy Disney Premier Access to watch Toys Wondrous Christmas! The official parade page shows viewing areas that do not require advance booking, alongside areas reserved for Premier Access and eligible package guests. A park ticket alone does not reserve a particular viewing spot.
Disney Premier Access for this parade is listed at ¥3,500 per person per access, in addition to admission. It provides a specified viewing location. Purchases are made through the app after park entry and are limited, so availability should not be assumed.
Decide beforehand whether a designated viewing location is worth the extra cost to your party. Otherwise, use the official viewing map and follow Cast Member guidance. Outdoor entertainment can change or be canceled because of conditions on the day; both parks also list Starbright Christmas fireworks, which may be canceled because of wind.
Prepare the App and Any Important Meal Booking
Download the Tokyo Disney Resort App before your visit and sign in with a MyDisney Account. It supports tickets, restaurant bookings, wait times, and park services; some functions require GPS. Set up your account before departure so you can use these services when you arrive.
If a sit-down meal matters to your day, Priority Seating at participating park restaurants opens at 10 a.m. one month before the dining date. For example, December 25 bookings open November 25 at 10 a.m. This is a separate booking window from park admission.
Priority Seating reduces the wait for a table but does not guarantee immediate seating. Leave a buffer before a parade, and keep a simpler meal option in mind if your preferred restaurant is unavailable. A restaurant booking does not replace admission to the park.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need a separate Christmas event ticket?
-
For a regular park visit during Disney Christmas, purchase admission for your chosen park and date. Optional paid viewing areas, meals, and merchandise cost extra; Disney Premier Access is not a park admission ticket.
- Is an evening ticket enough for Christmas entertainment?
-
It can suit a visit focused on decorations and evening atmosphere, but check your entry time against that day’s show schedule. A late-entry ticket may miss the daytime parade or harbor greeting. Choose full-day admission if those performances are the main reason for going.
- Will Disney Christmas continue after December 25?
-
The main 2026 Christmas event ends December 25. Some seasonal attraction programs have separate schedules, but that does not extend the Christmas parade and harbor-greeting dates.
