Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo: Magical Winter 2026–27

Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo Magical Winter 2026–27

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will hold Magical Winter from November 13, 2026, through January 11, 2027. The seasonal displays bring Christmas decorations to the Great Hall and snow effects to the Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts Castle.

For most visitors, a standard Studio Tour ticket is the starting point. Dinner at Hogwarts is a separate booking, with two different formats. The family-and-friends dinner goes on sale October 28 at noon Japan time, but requires a group of three or four; the adults-only dinner is currently listed as unavailable.

Information checked October 26, 2026. Ticket availability and event details may change. All times below are Japan Standard Time (JST).

What Changes for Magical Winter?

The official Magical Winter page confirms a decorated Great Hall with floating candles, a snow-covered Forbidden Forest for the first time, and a winter version of Hogwarts Castle. These are seasonal changes to the Studio Tour experience; the dinner events have their own tickets and schedules.

This is a walk-through attraction focused on film sets, costumes, props, and interactive experiences. It does not have theme-park rides. Choose it if you enjoy exploring how the films were made and spending time with the sets, rather than expecting a ride-based day out.

For a first visit, the winter setting is a reason to choose a date within the event period if it already fits your Tokyo itinerary. Returning fans should compare the announced displays with what they have seen before. Further Diagon Alley details were still marked as coming soon when checked.

How to Book a Standard Visit

The published ticket terms and dinner participation conditions do not specify a Japanese-nationality or Japan-residency requirement. English booking information is available; the dinner age and group-size requirements are summarized below.

Start with the official English ticket page and select Standard Tickets. Choose your visit date and entry time, then check the price shown for that selection. Prices vary by date; a general starting price is not a quote for every winter visit.

The official ticket FAQ lists online credit and debit card payments, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The ticket page also warns that payment errors may occur without 3D Secure authentication. Make sure you can complete your card issuer’s verification while booking.

Reserve ahead if this visit is important to your trip. The operator also sells tickets onsite, but your preferred date or time may be full. Use the official seller or an authorized distributor, and check that you are buying the intended admission type rather than a dining package.

Which Dinner Fits Your Group?

Dinner tickets are sold through the official website. Both dinner products include Studio Tour admission. You do not need to buy an additional standard ticket for the included visit. The two dinners differ substantially in eligibility, price, and what happens after the meal.

A Magical Feast to Share opens for general sale October 28 at noon JST. It serves a sharing-style meal; preschool children cannot attend, and bookings for one or two people are not accepted. The included daytime tour entry window is noon–3 p.m., with dinner check-in at 5:30 p.m. and the event ending at 8 p.m. There is no private tour after dinner.

Dinner at Hogwarts: Magical Winter includes a multi-course meal and an exclusive after-hours tour, with check-in at 4:45 p.m. and a 10 p.m. finish. The official page currently reports no tickets available, while noting that more may become available. Treat it as an option to monitor, not a confirmed part of your itinerary until you have a booking.

Before purchasing either dinner, read its Important Notes for dress requirements and booking conditions. Both pages give November 17 as the contact deadline for dietary requests; requests may not always be accommodated.

Allow Time for the Tour and the Journey

The operator’s facilities FAQ recommends three to four hours for a standard visit. Allow extra time if you want a meal or extended shopping, and check the closing time for your date before choosing a late entry. A dinner booking needs a longer block of your day, especially if you use its included daytime admission.

The attraction is in Nerima, Tokyo. The official access page lists direct trains to Toshimaen from Seibu Ikebukuro and from Shinjuku on the Toei Oedo Line, followed by a short walk. Add station navigation and walking time to your route rather than using the train time as your door-to-door estimate.

For standard visits, the ticket terms allow lobby access one hour before the booked tour time, or 30 minutes before the first slot of the day. Bag checks take place on arrival. Dinner guests should follow their event’s entry and check-in instructions instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I visit with a child under four?

For standard admission, children aged three and under need a free infant ticket. The dinner events have different age restrictions: preschool children cannot attend A Magical Feast to Share, and Magical Winter dinner is for ages 18 and over.

Can I cancel or change a standard ticket?

The operator’s ticket FAQ states that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. For a date or time change, contact Visitor Services before your original booking time; a ¥1,500 change charge applies. Dinner bookings have separate deadlines, so read the conditions for that specific event.

Can I visit the Studio Tour shop without a ticket?

No. Access to the Studio Tour shop is limited to ticket holders. Include shopping time in your visit rather than planning a separate unticketed stop.
