Selected airport limousine buses on the Temmabashi route stop at Yodoyabashi. The scheduled journey from Kansai Airport Terminal 1 to Yodoyabashi is approximately 55 minutes, and the current adult one-way fare is ¥1,800.
The main advantage is luggage handling. You can place a large suitcase in the bus luggage compartment and remain on the same vehicle for the main airport-to-city journey, without transferring through a railway station.
The limitation is the timetable. Not every airport departure on this route stops at Yodoyabashi, and the service is much less frequent than trains to Namba or Osaka Station.

From Yodoyabashi to the Accommodation
The example accommodation is in Edobori rather than directly beside the Yodoyabashi bus stop.
With light luggage and comfortable weather, walking may be reasonable. With a large suitcase, children, rain, summer heat, or fatigue after a long flight, a short taxi can make the final section much easier.

If the direct Yodoyabashi bus does not match your arrival time, the next question is not necessarily “Which train gets me to Higobashi?”
With a large suitcase, a more useful question is: Which direct airport train gives me an easy place to switch to a taxi?
There are two strong options:
- Rapi:t to Nankai Namba Station
- HARUKA to Osaka Station
Both let you complete the long airport section without changing trains and use a taxi for the final part of the journey. There is no need to declare one of them the correct choice for every arrival.
Rapi:t to Namba + Taxi

Rapi:t connects Kansai-Airport Station with Nankai Namba Station in as little as 34 minutes. The train has reserved seating and dedicated luggage space, which can make the journey more comfortable after a long international flight.
From Nankai Namba Station, take a taxi directly to Edobori instead of transferring to the Osaka Metro.
The taxi section is longer than it would be from Osaka Station, but the airport rail journey to Namba is fast. For many arrivals, that makes Rapi:t + taxi a practical combination.

HARUKA to Osaka Station + Taxi
KIX → Limited Express HARUKA → 大阪駅 / Ōsaka-eki / Osaka Station → taxi → accommodation
HARUKA provides another direct limited-express route from Kansai Airport to Osaka Station. After arriving, take a taxi to Edobori.
The route approaches the accommodation from the north, but the final taxi journey is shorter than from Namba. This gives HARUKA a different balance rather than making it simply better or worse.

Which Limited Express Should You Choose?
You do not need to calculate the difference down to the last minute before leaving home.
If the direct Yodoyabashi bus does not work, check the next useful Rapi:t and HARUKA departures after collecting your luggage. Choose Rapi:t when the Namba departure works well and you want a fast airport rail journey. Choose HARUKA when its departure works better, you prefer JR, or the shorter final taxi from the Osaka Station side is more useful.
The important decision has already been made: with a large suitcase, use a direct airport train for the long section and a taxi for the final section instead of adding another Metro transfer.

A Lower-Cost Namba Option: Airport Express
KIX → Nankai Airport Express → Namba → taxi or Metro
You do not need to take Rapi:t to reach Namba. The Nankai Airport Express also runs directly from Kansai-Airport Station to Namba in approximately 43–45 minutes and requires only a normal train ticket.
It is useful when keeping the rail fare lower matters more than having a reserved seat and the additional comfort of Rapi:t.
Airport Express + Taxi
Take the Airport Express to Namba, then use a taxi to Edobori.
This keeps the same basic luggage-friendly strategy as Rapi:t + taxi while reducing the railway cost. The trade-off is that the Airport Express is an ordinary train rather than a reserved-seat airport limited express.
With a large suitcase, Rapi:t is the more comfortable Namba option. Choose the Airport Express when saving money matters more than reserved seating and dedicated luggage space.
Airport Express + Metro to Higobashi
For lighter luggage, you can stay on public transport:
KIX → Nankai Airport Express → Namba → Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line → 肥後橋 / Higobashi / Higobashi → walk
On the Yotsubashi Line, Namba is Y15, Yotsubashi is Y14, Hommachi is Y13, and Higobashi is Y12. From Higobashi, the accommodation is about a six-minute walk.
This is a sensible route when you have a carry-on or an easy-to-manage suitcase and want to minimize transport costs.
With several large bags, the inconvenience is the complete transfer: moving from the Nankai arrival area through Namba Station, finding the Yotsubashi Line, boarding another train, finding the correct Higobashi exit, and then walking to the accommodation. A taxi removes that entire final sequence.
What About a Taxi Directly From KIX?
KIX → taxi → accommodation
A direct taxi is the simplest door-to-door option. You avoid station navigation, train or bus transfers, and the final walk with luggage, but the cost is much higher than using public transport for the main airport-to-city section.
For a current price reference, Kansai International Airport lists approximate ordinary taxi totals of ¥23,320 to Chuo-ku and ¥24,400 to Kita-ku, including estimated access-bridge and expressway tolls. Edobori in Nishi-ku is not listed separately, so these should not be treated as quoted fares to this accommodation.
For planning purposes, think of a direct taxi to this part of central Osaka as a low-to-mid ¥20,000s expense. The actual total can vary with the route, traffic, tolls, taxi service, and time of day; fares are higher between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
This option makes the most sense when several travelers can share the fare, you have multiple large suitcases, you are traveling with young children or someone with mobility needs, or you simply want the easiest possible arrival after a long flight.
What If You Arrive at Terminal 2?
関西空港駅 / Kansai-kūkō-eki / Kansai-Airport Station is connected to Terminal 1 and Aeroplaza rather than Terminal 2.
If you arrive at Terminal 2 and want to take Nankai or JR, use the free shuttle to the railway area. The airport gives the shuttle journey as approximately 7–9 minutes.
Selected airport buses that stop at Yodoyabashi also pick up at Terminal 2. This makes the direct bus particularly useful for some Terminal 2 arrivals.
Before taking the shuttle to the railway station, check whether a convenient Yodoyabashi bus is departing directly from Terminal 2. If not, continue to the railway area and compare the next Rapi:t and HARUKA departures.

Why the Final Connection Matters
This example shows why the nearest station does not automatically give you the best airport route.
Higobashi is the nearest station to the accommodation, but reaching it from KIX by public transport normally means adding another transfer and then walking. Namba and Osaka Station are farther away, but both can work as practical arrival hubs because a direct airport train handles the long section and a taxi handles the last few kilometers.
Yodoyabashi is not the nearest station either, but a direct airport bus can make it the easiest arrival point when the timetable works.
The useful question is therefore not “Which airport route reaches the nearest station?” but “Which route gets me to the accommodation with the least difficult final connection?”
What This Means for Staying in Edobori
Edobori is not directly beside a major airport railway terminal, but that does not make it impractical. A short taxi can solve the airport arrival with luggage; after check-in, Higobashi, Hommachi, and Yodoyabashi give you several ways to move around central Osaka.
