Into Central Osaka: The Sakaisuji Line Is Useful, but Not Universal
大阪メトロ堺筋線 / Ōsaka Metoro Sakaisuji-sen / Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line starts at Tengachaya and runs through Nipponbashi, Nagahoribashi, Sakaisuji-Hommachi, Kitahama, and Minamimorimachi. It is useful for eastern Namba, Shinsaibashi, and the Sakaisuji corridor, but does not serve Osaka Station, Umeda, or Shin-Osaka. Hankai Tramway: Useful for Sumiyoshi Taisha, Not Most City Trips
Some accommodation east of Tengachaya Station is also close to 松田町 / Matsudachō / Matsudacho Tram Stop on the 阪堺電車 / Hankai Densha / Hankai Tramway.
The tram is not usually the fastest way to cross Osaka. It can take you south to 住吉鳥居前 / Sumiyoshitoriimae, beside Sumiyoshi Taisha, and to other destinations along the line. For Namba and most central Osaka trips, Nankai Railway or Osaka Metro will usually be more practical.

A longer stay does not mean spending more of each day in Tengachaya. You might leave after breakfast for sightseeing or work and return only to buy groceries, eat nearby, and sleep.
